Career

Descendant of a family of Italian immigrants, Cascadeur comes from the city of Metz, Lorraine. He started playing the piano at the age of 8. His parents both play music: his oboe father and his piano mother2.

He began to make himself known to the general public by winning the 2008 CQFD prize organized by Les Inrockuptibles magazine.

His stage character is inspired by a biker figurine he owned child3. The character of Stuntman wears a combination of biker with a white helmet adorned with a red star, and his face is concealed under a luchador mask4. His pseudonym was inspired by some of his friends who showed him the vocal and musical risks he took in his compositions3.

'The live: Stuntman. His shrill voice recalls Anthony Hegarty's, he hides his face behind a mask, and his music is hovering. '
