band history
Sound stable was founded in 1994 by Maurizio Blanco (born December 8, 1971), together with Boris May (born November 29, 1974). After smaller appearances, a record company became aware of the band and a first production on vinyl appeared. Her debut album from 1997, Böhm, god of electrics, pays homage to the Dr. Böhm organ and the analog-electronic sound generation of the 1970s. In 2000, Gioco Bambino (Italian for Game Boy) appeared, a decidedly monotonous minimalist album; It was mostly created by means of a Game Boy. Kantorka from 2001 is a sonic representation of the Krabat novel. Math & Emotion 2008 addressed the union of rationality and ecstasy.
Familiar, one of the most well-known pieces of Klangstabil, was written around 2002 and appeared on the annual compilation of the Maschinenfest; the planned album remained unfinished. In 2010, the title was republished as a separate EP. The artwork comes from the time of origin and was designed by the friendly, former The Three ??? - graphic designer Aiga Rasch.
Sound-stable are often represented at the Maschinenfest in Oberhausen, but also appear at major festivals, such as at the Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, the Dutch Summer Darkness Festival or the Amphi Festival.
