- Lail Arad (* 1983 in London) is a British-Israeli singer-songwriter.
Life
Lail Arad was born in London in 1983 as the daughter of designer and architect Ron Arad. While still at school, she started writing songs on the piano, the guitar and the kazoo. Her main influences include bands like Simon & Garfunkel and The Kinks. Arad gained some notoriety in the London music scene and was eventually signed by the French independent label Notify Music. There appeared in February 2011 her debut album Someone New. This received positive reviews, at Deutschlandradio Kultur it was album of the week in April 2012.
