- Hateplow (often Hate Plow or HatePlow) is an American Death Metal supergroup from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, founded in 1994.
story
In 1994, Malevolent creation guitarist Phil Fasciana, guitarist Rob Barrett (ex-Cannibal Corpse) and drummer Larry Hawke formed the band. Singer Kyle Symons and former Revenant bassist Tim Scott joined the band. Initially, the band was just a side project of all members and was seriously run from 1999, after Barrett's exit from Cannibal Corpse. On May 24, 1997, drummer Hawke was found dead in his home. Larry Hawke died from smoke poisoning caused by a fire in his house. The debut album Everybody This was released in 1998, with Hawke still listening on the drums. For the next three years, the band could not work on any further songs due to the death of Hawke and the departure of Tim Scott. In 2000, drummer Dave Culross (Malevolent Creation, ex-suffocation) joined the band. Together with bassist Doug Humlack, the second album The Only Law Is Survival was released. The band toured Europe twice: the first in 2001 with new bassist Julian Hollowell and a year in 2003, with the band headlining at Fuck the Commerce in Germany.
