Kid Rock/摇滚小子（原名Robert James 'Bob' Ritchie）（1971年1月17日－）是一位美国摇滚，嘻哈音乐家，饶舌歌手和歌曲作家。1998年他录音室专辑Devil Without a Cause的商业发行非常受欢迎，全球销售一千三百万张。他有5次葛莱美奖的提名。在美国，他的专辑销售了两千三百万张，全球热销两千七百万张。

嘴吧一向不干净的饶舌歌手Kid Rock，1971年1月17日出生在密西根州底特律以北的一个小镇Romeo，本名Robert James Ritchie。小镇无聊的生活让他一头栽进饶舌乐，勤学街舞，底特律大大小小的比赛都不放过。1988年，Kid Rock以第一份试带获得Boogie Down Productions的赏识找来做开场，也因为这场表演让Jive唱片公司注意到了这个白里透黑的小子。1990年在Jive唱片公司发行第一张专辑《Grit Sandwiches For Breakfast》时，Kid Rock才17岁，但己经和Too $hort，D-Nice同挂制作人之名。虽然Jive唱片公司没有花钱帮他拍音乐录影带做宣传，但是与HIP HOP乐界大老Ice-Cube，Too Short一同巡回全美40场的演唱，己经逐渐打开了他的知名度。

三年以后，Kid 搬到纽约，为保有创作自由转战小厂牌Continuum Records，以专辑《The Polyfuze Method》回到乐坛，一首sample自纽约鸟王Howard Stern的＜Balls In Your Mouth＞，再度成为下流名曲之一，村声杂志称赞这张专辑”巧妙结合饶舌与金属乐”，还说Kid是“天生唱饶舌的料子”。1996年发行的《Early Mornin' Stoned Pimp》更是让Kid Rock声名远播，底特律一家电台因为播了他的歌＜Yodeling In The Valley＞，而被罚了高达美金$23,750 的巨额罚款。

就在饶舌重金属（rap-metal ）乐团如Korn、Limp Bizkit、Rage Against the Machine等一个一个出头天后，Atlantic 唱片公司决定把睹注押在Kid Rock身上，1998年8月发行了在Atlantic唱片旗下的首张作品《Devil Without A Cause》，专辑中将取样（sampling）这个技术发挥到最高点，从Fleetwood Mac的＜Second Hand News＞到 the Politicians 70年代名曲＜Free Your Mind＞，在他的巧手下通通化身成混杂另类，饶舌与摇滚Kid Rock风。在ＭＴＶ音乐电视台的强力放送下，Kid Rock可以说是名声如日中天，除了在Woodstock99向Jimi Hendrix致敬的表演外，1999年还和Run D-M-C，Aerosmith（史密斯飞船）同台主持MTV音乐奖颁奖典礼。算算出道己有10年的Kid Rock，却在2000年的葛莱美奖被提名最佳新进艺人一项，虽然有点令人诧异葛莱美评审团的评定标准，但迟来的肯定总比没有好。

在思考下张专辑的制作方向时，Rock把过去在独立厂牌的发行版权买回来，加以重新混音或重新录音，结集成一张具有纪念意义的回顾辑《The History Of Rock》，这张在2000年夏天发行的精选辑也有收录数首新歌。2000年11月16日，Rock的好友兼创作搭档Joe C.不幸因故身亡，这个打击并没有让Rock停止专辑制作工作，而他的专属DJ Uncle Kracker也在2001年夏天选择追求个人音乐事业，Kid Rock再次失去一个长期的音乐合作伙伴。就在此时，他和性感女演员潘蜜拉安德森（Pamela Anderson）的恋情曝光，媒体焦点自然全放在他的绯闻。同年冬天，他推出了耗时3年的录音室作品Cocky，在告示牌专辑榜一举进入前１０名。
