Anis Mohamed Youssef Ferchichi (born 28 September 1978), better known as Bushido, is a German rapper, producer and entrepreneur in real estate industry. The word 'bushido' is Japanese and means 'Way of the Warrior'. He also uses the pseudonym Sonny Black, based on Dominic Napolitano. In 2004, he and fellow rapper D-Bo founded the record label ersguterjunge.
After the release of his debut album Vom Bordstein bis zur Skyline in 2003, Bushido achieved popularity in the German hip hop scene and in the mainstream media for his controversial song lyrics, that were criticised being misogynist and homophobic.
As of 2009, he sold more than 1.5 million albums in Germany alone.
