Fishing
To the Ribble I went one morn,
With a fishing friend called John,
Intending for to do a bit of angling.
Soon while others had landed nowt,
John had hit a two t' three trout,
T'others sat there greedy eyed and lines a dangling.
Soon he wasn't on his tod he could hardly see his rod,
For other people's lines around it swishing.
