- 成立於1999年夏天的Becoming The Archetype，團員分別為吉他手Jon Star、Sean Cunningham，貝斯兼主唱Jason Wisdom，吉他兼鍵盤Seth Hecox，鼓手Brent Duckett，技巧純熟乾淨俐落、爆發力十足以及拼貼式的樂句銜接，使得Becoming The Archetype能夠在眾多同類型樂團脫穎而出，頗有巴洛克式風味的intro曲' March of the Dead'，彷彿跪坐在氣勢恢弘的歐式大教堂閉目冥想，被' Into Oblivion'突如其來的憤怒瞬間中斷，歇斯底理的吉他咨意狂洩，隨之而來的又是沉澱心情的空心吉他弦指振動，沒多久又陷入強烈金屬衝擊的中心!! 長篇幅的' Elegy: Deception/Lament /Triumph'展現該團優異編曲功力，' Night’s Sorrow'乾淨清脆淨化人心，' The Epigone'則是沉靜之後的究極破壞!!
成為原型是1999年在佐治亞Dacula成立的固態唱片公司和世紀傳媒記錄公司（歐洲）簽署的美國極端金屬樂隊。 他們已經發布了五個固態記錄專輯。 根據Nielsen Soundscan的數據，2008年11月發布的二分法在發行的第一周就在美國銷售了2300多份。 CD在“熱門新作”（Heatseekers）排行榜上排在第18位，該排行榜上列出了新發展藝術家最暢銷的專輯，被定義為從未出現在Billboard 200排行榜前100名的專輯。 美國重金屬新浪潮的一部分。
