- 理察·梅爾維爾·霍爾（英語：Richard Melville Hall，1965年9月11日－），藝名魔比，美國音樂人，DJ。
魔比生於美國紐約市哈林區。因為《白鯨記》（Moby Dick）的作者赫爾曼·梅爾維爾（Herman Melville）跟他有親戚關係，所以他被叫做「魔比」。
1995年發行專輯《萬物失常（Everything Is Wrong）。1999年發行專輯《Play》取得了巨大的成功。之後又成功發布了專輯《18》、《酒店》（Thousand）等。
1997年，他在自宅的錄音室敲下了『Play開始放』專輯的第一個音符，
在那之後，所掀起的銷售異象、'獎'聲鼓勵、授權歌曲挾帶的商業機制..，
魔比Moby的音樂，讓全球一步、一步、動了起來！

「把60年代靈魂歌手艾爾葛林與90年代trip-hop電星Massive Attack湊作堆」
是這次的靈感，【18】不只打通流行脈絡，它的視野就如海洋般遼闊，且十分迷人。
一張溫暖、深具情感與凝聚力的專輯。
魔比在輯中演唱4首歌('We Are All Made Of Stars'、'Signs Of Love'、
'Extreme Ways'、'Sleep Alone')，同時邀請辛妮歐康諾('Harbour')、
安琪史東+饒舌歌手MC Lyte ('Jam For The Ladies')與喬治亞州雙人美聲組Azure Ray
('Great Escape')跨刀。同名曲'18'是鹽湖城冬季奧運閉幕曲的加長版。
全輯所有樂器由魔比親自彈奏，取樣旋律來源廣闊，
錄音哲學此番較不強調現場錄音精神，而以作品的情緒質感為優先考量，
不光只著迷科技層次。
魔比說：「希望大家除了擁抱它們之外還能從中得到些東西。
過去的我偶爾愛唱個反調，作些挑戰性頗高的唱片；
現在我覺得，如果想搞得很不隨和，大可用自個兒時間玩就好了；
