Gwen Stefani's second solo album, dance-oriented THE SWEET ESCAPE, is due on December 5th, 2006. The Neptunes produced the first single, 'Wind It Up,' and the record will also include tracks produced by Nellee Hooper, Dave Stewart, and Swizz Beatz.
It is speculated that the album will contain songs originally written for her 2004 debut solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. that did not make the final track listing and new material recorded during 2005 and 2006. The Sweet Escape's first single is 'Wind It Up', which Stefani premiered on her Harajuku Lovers Tour in 2005. Unlike Stefani's first solo record, this one carries a Parental Advisory label in North America. 'The Sweet Escape' is one of the tracks that has leaked onto the Internet.
