Skeletons is the Wind-up Records debut from critically acclaimed platinum-selling artist Hawthorne Heights. 2001年夏，後硬核/情感核-流行五人組Hawthorne Heights成立於美國俄亥俄州的Dayton，最初的樂隊名為A Day In The Life。這幾位年輕人最初的夢想就是成為職業樂手，發行自己的專輯。隨著樂隊成員以及音樂風格的固定，Hawthorne Heights終於在2003年和芝加哥的Victory唱片公司簽約。經過四個星期的錄製，Hawthorne Heights樂隊的首張錄音室專輯《The Silence in Black and White》終於在2004年面世。隨著樂隊不知疲倦的巡演，《The Silence in Black and White》成為Victory公司所發行過的處女專輯中最暢銷的，其中的單曲《Ohio is for Lovers》也開始在電台熱播，而樂隊去年在英美舉辦的多場演出也均是爆滿。2006年2月，Hawthorne Heights發行第二張專輯《If Only You Were Lonely》，創紀錄的排在Billboard 200專輯榜的第三位。同時，《If Only You Were Lonely》還在Billboard排行榜中的獨立專輯榜和搖滾專輯榜中成功登頂，是樂隊從組建到目前為止的最好成績。
