1999年，Simply Red 推出專輯《Love And Russian Winter》，不知道為什麼 Mick Hucknall 為專輯取了個那麼'革命'的名字，專輯裡面的圖片也是紅五星、戰士、工人什麼。其實《Love And Russian Winter》依然是一張帶著 Simply Red 特色的白人靈歌專輯， Mick Hucknall 放棄了與流行潮流調情的雜念，一心一意做他真正擅長的音樂。只是在潮流大變更下《Blue》和《Love And Russian Winter》都沒有取得像《Stars》或《A New Flame》這樣的佳績。
