- 1970年代後期至1980年代中期，Ultravox樂團融合了神采飛揚的流行吉他音色與活潑雀躍的電子合成器節奏脈動，塑造兼具華麗意境與動人情境的電子搖滾樂，在英倫流行電子搖滾新浪潮中引領風騷，寫下五張英國金榜Top 10專輯以及包括：榮獲全英音樂獎年度單曲大獎的英國金榜亞軍曲〈Vienna〉，英國金榜第三名單曲〈Dancing With Tears In My Eyes〉等歌曲在內的暢銷曲。樂團的靈魂人物Midge Ure在1984年與愛爾蘭流行搖滾歌手Bob Geldof攜手譜寫一首關懷衣索匹亞飢荒問題的義唱單曲〈Do They Know It's Christmas?〉，隨後在1985年7月13號推動全球四億觀眾同步收看的「Live Aid」現場連線的義唱盛會，兩人在2005年繼續推動懇請世界八大國的領袖繼續關注貧窮問題的「Live 8」全球連線演唱會。Midge Ure在80年代後期展開個人音樂旅程，譜寫了包括在1998年獲選為手錶品牌Swatch廣告曲的〈Breathe〉等代表作。
Midge Ure與Billy Currie在2008年10月間接受英國Absolute Radio電台的開台慶祝活動的邀約，前往Abbey Road Studio錄音室進行不插電演唱會的演出，樂迷對這場演出的熱烈迴響激起了兩人重啟Ultravox樂團計劃的念頭，於是，Ultravox就在 2009年展開定名為「The Return To Eden Tour」的巡迴演唱會，此一重新聚首的巡迴演唱會在歐陸各國創造爆滿票房，促成樂團踏進錄音室灌錄新專輯《Brilliant》，此張專輯重現了樂團在全盛時期的音樂火花，像是熱血沸騰的〈Live〉，有著樂迷所熟悉的鋼琴聲線貫穿的大格局電子搖滾力作〈Flow〉，結合了熱力歌聲，饒富駕馭快感的節奏與令人悸動的電子樂線條而成的〈Brilliant〉，粉有網路e世代時尚感的摩登電子樂作品〈Rise〉，還有Ultravox樂團擅長營造宛如置身電影情節場景之中的電子樂風格代表作〈Remembering〉、〈One〉、〈Change〉，或是兼具電子樂遼闊視野與震撼情感力道的〈Life〉，洋溢著異國風情的〈Satellite〉，瀰漫著陰險氛圍的〈Hello〉，令人感到寒顫的心碎之歌〈Fall〉。
