- 桃花心木拉什是由吉他手弗兰克·马里诺领导的加拿大摇滚乐队。乐队在二十世纪七十年代已经流行起来，加入了California Jam II和Aerosmith，Ted Nugent和Heart等乐队。桃花心木拉什形成于蒙特利尔在1970年。

开端
为了获得媒体的关注，原唱片公司创造了一个虚构的故事，弗兰克·马力诺在乐队开始之前，曾经在精神病院呆了一段时间，服用了迷幻药，并由吉米·亨德里克斯（Jimi Hendrix）视察过。这让他有了灵感，就像他在第一张专辑中所做的一样，非常贴近Jimi Hendrix的风格。当第三张专辑“奇怪的宇宙”被录制时，这种填补公众购买新型Jimi Hendrix风格音乐的方法已经完善。
