- Golden Dawn是由StefanTraunmüller于1992年成立的一个奥地利乐队，原本是一个黑人金属项目，最终引起了两位颇有影响力的奥地利金属家Pazuzu的Ray Wells和Pungent Stench和Hollenthon的Martin Schirenc的关注。到一个汇编外观，并最终与黑暗物质记录录音合同。
Traunmüller录制了他的首张专辑“The Art of Dreaming”，同时还是一个单人乐队，但是在Abigor和Martin Schirenc的Thomas Tannenberger的帮助下。
然而，黑暗物质很快就折叠了。直到七年后，现在由四名成员组成的乐队，与Napalm唱片公司录制了下一张专辑“Masquerade”。
2012年1月，新专辑Return To Provenance在Non Serviam Records上发行。
