KT在苏格兰一个名为圣安德鲁的古镇长大，中英混血的KT，从小就知道自己是被领养的小孩，不过充满好奇心又积极的KT认为这样的出身背景反倒为自己增添了无穷想像力与神秘色彩。从小在海边成长的KT，藉著哥哥的重金属乐唱片一脚踏进音乐世界，并开始学习钢琴与长笛，还自修学会了吉他，同时师法爵士女伶，慢慢训练自己特有的风格唱腔。

秉持着旺盛的求知欲与独立精神，在求学过程中不断组团玩音乐的KT逐渐建立起自信心与演出经验；完成学业后，KT回到家乡圣安德鲁，风格转向当地正盛行的“草根摇滚”乐风，并开始累积个人创作作品。在当地乐团奋斗多年的KT，终于获得唱片公司的注意与青睐，请到曾担任乐团U2/New Order专辑制作人的 Steve Osborne，为KT个人首张专辑【望远镜下的爱情】操刀掌舵。
