　原始成员Eric Martin(主唱)、Paul Gilbert(吉他手)、Billy Sheehan(贝斯手)及Pat Torpey(鼓手)，都是在摇滚乐界出了名的超级乐手及呛声主音！拥有最黄金阵容的组合，让Mr. Big尚未出道便成为各界瞩目之焦点。首张于1989年发行的同名专辑，深获AMG四颗星高评，透着厚实摇滚风味，让所有乐手发挥神乎其技的演奏实力，虽然没有顶亮眼的商业佳绩，但Mr. Big仍是备受各界看好的新秀乐团。1992年连获AMG 四颗星高评的专辑“Lean Into It”，首推单曲'Green-Tinted Sixties Mind'，虽然表现仍然平平，但跨年所推出的'To Be With You'，马上成了炫风般攻入全球各榜，缔造首支冠军单曲，也是电台点播率居高不下的国歌级曲目！随后于1993年发行“Bump Ahead”，也慢慢加多抒情歌及中版摇滚的比例。还特别将日本表演实况录制成现场专辑，以飨支持度最高的日本乐迷，随后发行“Hey Man”(1996)、“Get Over It”(2000)、“Actual Size”(2001)等录音室作品，期间还发行了“Raw Like Sushi”(1994)、“Japandemoniumi”(1994)、“Live At The Hard Rock”(1998)、“Mr. Big In Japan”(2002)等出片仍算密集的多张现场特辑！就在90年末Mr. Big仍马不停蹄的巡回演出之际，Paul Gilbert为了专心他的个人音乐生涯而离开Mr. Big，取而代之的是Poison(毒药乐团)的吉他手Richie Kotzen，仍有着可圈可点的精采表现。
